Support The Show

Running a podcast is a do-it-yourself kind of project. It comes with many expenses that many wouldn’t even consider being a thing you would need. That being said, any financial help you could give to the show would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you for your support.

*Note that our host, Joshua Manley, handles all the backend management for the show and so it will look as though you are giving money to him personally. You are not – it is for the show. Paypal just needed a name for the setup of the account. 🙂

Ali loves the popular arts… perhaps a little too much at times. Raised in LA, he attended The University of Nebraska Omaha and studied Fine Arts with a concentration on Digital Media Production. For his thesis, he produced a short-film titled “Halls of Chaos”, a crime thriller.”

He went on to write and draw several sci-fi and humor-based webcomics before fully funding and producing Destined Legends, an RPG trading card game. Since then he has begun to focus on exploring his true passion video games.

As you can see, Ali has the attention-span of a squirrel. He currently is a broadcaster and content creator full time, and runs a YouTube channel dedicated to Bungie’s open-world shooter, Destiny.

What is there to say about Corey Powers that hasn’t already been said about Gambit, Batman, Superman, Master Chief, Sam Rockwell, Gandhi, and dogs?

Corey was born and raised in the Bay Area in sunny California. He grew up in a family of musicians and performers and so in turn heeds to the call within in blood. Studying stage acting from middle school on  and also writing and performing music around local tiki bars and bad Lifetime TV shows.

At an early age Corey became fascinated with distant lands and fantastical tales, as most Pisces do, and found himself immersed in comic books, movies, and board games. Should you ever ask him about who his favorite comic book hero is he’ll tell you that while Nightcrawler will always be #1, The Flash is who he related to the most what with Corey’s love of running, pushing, and his strangely fast metabolism. It only makes sense.

As for now Corey, along with Tom, started a production company called Story Bored where they make anything from short sketches and web-series about production assistants and potty humor to short films about love and missed opportunities.

He’s very excited to work with these three talented and handsome devils and loves to create, but also looks forward to binging Peaky Blinders on his couch with his wife Dana and two cats Sugar (Some Like It Hot) and Margot (Royal Tenenbaums).

The Awesome 80s. The decade of John Hughes movies, bad haircuts, parachute pants and Joshua Manley. Josh was born in 1985, the year of great movie classics like Back to the Future, The Goonies, Real Genius, The Breakfast Club and many more. From an early age and to this day, he has been entertained and fascinated by Movies, Cartoons, TV Shows and Video Games.

In high school, he began studying acting. It was then he attended a selective summer acting program at CalArts and in his senior year was voted “most likely to have a star on the walk of fame.” He went on to study acting at UCSD. Eventually, in stereotypical fashion, he hopped on a Greyhound bus to LA with $200 in his pocket and the dream of becoming a movie star.

After a few years, he became interested in the process of filmmaking, attended school for audio and received his expert certification in Avid Pro Tools for post-production and music production. Since graduating, he has worked on projects with Disney, Dreamworks, Jim Henson, The CW, Ubisoft and many more. He has worked with VO greats like Mark Hamill and Nolan North. His passion for audio and entertaining has led him to work on several short films, podcasts, audio books and music projects.

He’s still waiting for that star on the walk of fame, who knows, anything is possible.

He resides in Los Angeles with his amazing wife Bonnie and their three chihuahuas, Raul, Cleo and Luna.

Born and raised in California, moving from place to place, Tom’s love for movies has always stayed the same. Writing stories while watching them took up most of his childhood until he could get his hands on his first video camera at the age of 14. Soon after he would shoot sketches and small webisodes on Youtube.

He attended California State University of Sacramento where he studied Film Production in the Liberal Arts program, where he also studied theory and world cinema. In his time he founded The Hornet Film Society where he competed and won in the Sacramento International Film Festival. Later, had audiences with CSU Chancellor, Timothy P. White for later projects.

Five short films later and graduating, Tom moved to Los Angeles where he would work under various Producers working on music videos (Lindsey Stirling, FUSE, Josh Groban) and commercials (Star Wars: Battlefront, Brookside Chocolate, Legos) starting out Production Assisting on David Labrava’s (Sons of Anarchy) feature film “Street Level”.

Tom is currently submitting his latest short film in various film festivals and in the beginning stages of an untitled documentary.
